Second International Scientific-Practical Conference “Membrane processes and equipment in the food technology and engineering”

11-13 October, 2016 at the National University of Food Technologies (Kiev) the second International Scientific Conference “Membrane processes and equipment in the food technology and engineering” was held.
Traditionally, the conference was attended by experts of the Department of food and hotel industry equipment named after M.I.Belyayev of KSUFTT. Thus, the head of the Department prof. Deinychenko G.V. participated in the work of International Scientific Committee for preparation and holding of the conference and was chairman of the plenary session of the conference.
Vasyl Guzenko, senior researcher of the Department, took part at the plenary session making the report “Choice of the removing method of a polarizing layer on the surface of semipermeable membranes”. At sessions of the conference were presented the following reports of the department`s staff: “Justification of factors that affect the process of microfiltration of beer” (authors – Grygorii Deinychenko, Maxim Melnik) and “The use of the raw materials processed with membrane methods in the technology of dairy desserts” (authors – Grygorii Deinychenko, Victoria Fedak). Participants of the conference accepted reports with great interest, noting their high scientific level and practical orientation.
At the conference also were presented posters of teachers, candidates and masters of the Department, such as “Determining of the influence of pressure and temperature on the process of ultrafiltration of whey obtained after cheese production” (authors – Grygorii Deinychenko, Vasil Guzenko, Obynva Ebonugva), “The study of quality of semi-finished products for desserts based on ultrafiltration concentrate of buttermilk “(authors – Grygorii Deinychenko, Tatyana Yudina).
During the discussion of reports and posters, it was observed that between experts of the Department of technological equipment and computer design technologies of NUFT and the Department of food and hotel industry equipment named after M.I.Belyayev of KSUFTT were established strong ties on the questions of the study of membrane processes and equipment that is displayed in the joint performance of budget themes of Ministry of Education of Ukraine, the publication of two joint monographs and so on. Ways for further cooperation were also outlined.
