Second International Scientific and Practical Conference “Innovative Aspects of Food and Hotel Industry Development in Contemporary Conditions”. The first day

The second international scientific-practical conference “Innovative aspects of food and hotel industry development in modern conditions” took place on September 5-7, 2017 and was dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University and the 50th anniversary of the Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade. The conference was held by the Department of Food and Hotel Industry named after M.I. Belyaev Kharkiv State University of Nutrition and Trade and Department of Processing Equipment and Food Production. prof. F.Y. Yalpachyk of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University.
The conference was devoted to solving topical issues regarding the definition of problems and prospects for the development of equipment for food production, restaurant and hotel industry, improvement of processes and technologies for the processing of agricultural raw materials in the conditions of development of modern society.
The organizing committee of the conference received 153 papers from scientists from 63 educational institutions and organizations from 21 countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Egypt, Israel, Spain, Kazakhstan, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, USA, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Montenegro, Switzerland, Ukraine).
On September 5, 2017, the participants of the conference were registered, which took place in the building №8 of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University at the Department of Processing Equipment and Food Production named after prof. F.Y. Yalpachika.
During the registration, all participants of the conference got acquainted with the educational and scientific laboratories of the department, scientific and methodological developments of the department’s employees, which were presented at the exhibition stand. After the registration for a delegation from Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade and conference participants from other cities, a sightseeing tour on the territory of university was held, conducted by the vice-rector of educational work, associate professor Lomeko O.P. During the excursion, the guests of the university got acquainted with the history of the Tavria State Agrotechnological University , the latest achievements in scientific, educational, educational work, visited the scientific bible library of the university and the educational classrooms of the technological corps.
Upon completion of the registration of the conference participants, the rector of the university was congratulated by Professor V.M. Kürchev, who expressed his gratitude to the conference participants for their opportunity to come and participate in the work of the conference, wished them fruitful work, creative inspiration, interesting scientific discussions and a good rest on the shores of the Azov Sea.
Rector of TSAU and Head of the Department of Equipment for Processing and Food Production. prof. F.Y. Yalpachyk Ph.D., Assoc. Nagorok N.P. invited the conference participants to demonstrate the work of food equipment in the laboratories of the department. The conference participants demonstrated the work of various types of food processing equipment: sausage, milk processing and confectionery with the tasting of products that were produced.
The next stage of the first day of the conference was the excursion to the old-fashioned farm “Ostrich-South”. “Ostrich-South” is an ostrich farm and a zoo on the outskirts of the city of Melitopol, a place of rest for the inhabitants of the city and one of the largest ostrich farms in Ukraine. During the visit to the farm, an excursion was organized for the participants of the conference, during which the workers of the farm acquainted the participants with the history of the emergence of the ostrich farm, the peculiarities of growing these birds in Ukraine, and the directions of using the farm products. Of particular interest was the direct review of cages with ostriches, the number of which numbers more than 100 birds. In the story it was noted that gradually the ostrich farm turned into a small animal, in which there are many species of fauna: lions, antelopes, bears, various birds. As a result of the tour, the delegates of the conference were able to take pictures with individual representatives of the fauna and the products produced by the farm.
After visiting the “Ostrus-South” farm, the conference participants went to the health center “Salut” of the TSAU. The health resort “Salut” is located on the coast of the Sea of Azov in the central part of the village. Kyrylivka. The complex has all the necessary infrastructure for the organization of conferences and other events of the same type, in its territory the conference participants were provided with proper conditions for work and rest.
