On March 23-24, 2017, the 3rd International scientific-practical conference “Processing and Quality Management of Agricultural Products” was held in the capital of the Republic of Belarus, the city of Minsk, by the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University (BSATU). In the work of the conference, together with other employees of the KSUFTT participated the Head of the Department of food and hotel industry equipment named after M.I.Belyayev, professor Deinychenko G.
Interesting reports were prepared by the managers of the conference for the plenary session. In particular, the deputy of head of the main food department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus Klimova M. presented everyone data on the current state of production of meat and dairy products in the republic and, using statistical data, proved that the Republic of Belarus is a powerful exporter especially of dairy products not only in Europe but also throughout the world. The deputy of General Director for Quality and Standardization of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Food, Ph.D. Morgunova Y. made an interesting report on the technical regulation of ensuring the quality and safety of food products in modern conditions, underlining the need for the production of so-called “organic” products.
After the plenary session Professor Deinychenko G. took part in the work of section I “Processing and storage of agricultural products”, which worked under the direction of D.Sc., Head of the Department of Technology and Technical Support for Agricultural Products Processing, Professor V. Grudanova. The report titled “Production of pectin concentrates by the method of ultrafiltration processing”, which was made by prof. Deinychenko G., get a lot of interest in the audience. Representatives of agro-business in the Republic of Belarus, who were present at the section, noted the completeness of the research and expressed their readiness for their direct implementation.
The second report, which was prepared by prof. Deinychenko G. hand in hand with professor of the hotel and restaurant business department of KSUFTT Malyuk L. titled “Adapted educational programms – the way to a single educational space”, was made by prof. Malyuk L. The report proved that the goals, tasks and even problems of higher education of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus are largely the same, and this was also noted by the scientific community during the conference.
In addition to the scientific component and speeches at the sectional meetings, managers of the conference offered participants a wide cognitive program. The guests of the conference were acquainted with the BSATU Museum, which preserves the history of the University from its fondation to the present. It was very pleased to see one of the many pages of the history of this high school, which reflected the fact that in 2015, the agreement on cooperation between BSATU and KSUFTT was signed.
On the second day of event conference managers organized an excursion to the National Library of Belarus, which began working in a new unique building in 2006. Conference guests were convinced that the library is a real “diamond” not only due to the unusual form of a book store, which is a rhombicuboctahedron of 73.6 m height, but also due to a complex of engineering and information systems that it is equipped with and which have no analogues in the countries of Eastern Europe.
And the end of cognitive program was marked by an excursion around the capital of the Republic of Belarus, the city of Minsk, with its bright, supposedly flying buildings, clean and wide streets, numerous parks and squares. Participants of the conference in BSATU enjoyed a pleasant and positive experience and had desire to visit it in the following years.
