Confirming decisions on extending the practice of developing complex graduate projects by students of different specialties, in June 2017, joint meetings of the State Examination Commissions of the Institute of Food Technology and Business, the Faculty of Equipment and Technical Services, and the Faculty of Economics for the Protection of Integrated Graduate Projects of the Specialist were held.
On June 19, 2017, the Integrated Diploma Project Specialist, conducted by students studying in three specialties, “Innovative approaches to technical and technological support and an economic assessment of the efficiency of production of confectionery products” was defended. Students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Food Technologies and Business Krylov D.Y. became the executors of the complex project. – specialty 181 “Food Technology” (scientific adviser – doctor of technical sciences, associate professor Gorlarchuk A.B., department of technology of nutrition), student of the faculty of equipment and technical service M. Gaevsky. – specialty 133 “Sectoral engineering” (scientific adviser – Ph.D., Prof. Afukova N.O. – Department of the equipment of the food and hotel industry named after M.I. Belyaev), student of economic faculty Svyatolutska A.V. – specialty 051 “Economics”. (scientific advisor – Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor Smolniakova NM – Department of Economics of Enterprises of Food and Trade).
Also, at a joint meeting of examination commissions of the Faculty of Equipment and Technical Services, the Faculty of Economics for the protection of complex graduate projects of specialist was presented to defend a graduate project specialist on the topic “Hardware Supply of Potato Products and Estimates of its Economic Efficiency”. Graduate project was implemented by the student of the Faculty of Equipment and Technical Service Guriev AM – Specialty 133 “Sectoral engineering” (scientific advisor – Candidate of Technical Sciences, Prof. Postnov G.M. – Department of the equipment of the food and hotel industry named after M.I. Belyaev) and student of the economic faculty Tsuranova AV – specialty 051 “Economics” (scientific adviser – Ph.D., Prof. M. Dyadyuk – Department of Economics of Food and Trade Companies).
Complex diploma projects are executed under the leadership of specialists of departments, taking into account modern business inquiries and the demand of production in new innovative solutions that would reflect the investment attractiveness of student development. Diploma projects of a specialist on innovations in the manufacture of confectionery and potato snacks, made to order of the Kapsular Ltd. with further introduction into production conditions.
The rector of the Kharkiv State University of Food and Trade, professor O.I. Cherevko, the first vice-rector of the university, professor Yancheva L.M., was invited to defend the complex diplomas of the specialist. Joint meeting of examination commissions was conducted by Dean of the Faculty of Equipment and Technical Services, Associate Professor Karpenko L.K.
Solemn defense was held in the presence of a wide range of respectable guests. Among the examination commissions of the faculties, in addition to the specialists of the KSUFTT included the head of the State Examination Commission of the Faculty of Economics, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Head of the Department of Economics of the Kharkiv National University of Construction and Architecture Kalinichenko L.L. and the head of the State Examination Commission of the Educational Institute of Food Technologies and Business, the head of production of Typhoon-2000 Ltd. Vitanova O.D.
As a result of the defense of integrated graduate projects, industry experts noted the investment attractiveness of the proposed solutions. During the defense, future specialists showed all the diversity of their knowledge on many of the disciplines they studied during the training, demonstrated awareness not only in their qualifications, but also the qualifications of their partners in the diploma project in all three directions. During the defense, they proved the investment attractiveness of the development, revealed the subtleties of the technological process organization, demonstrated the possession of technical issues of equipment and operation of modern equipment, economically proved the prospects of the proceeds from the implementation, carried out a set of measures for working out in production conditions. During the report, students confidently answered a variety of complex questions, as confirmed by the high qualification “specialist” and the effectiveness of applying an integrated approach during the graduation design.
According to the results of the defense, members of the State Examination Commissions of the three specialties unanimously came to the conclusion that the highest score was awarded – “excellent” – presented to the defense of complex diploma projects.
