On April 6, 2017, in the Kharkiv State University of Food Technologies and Trade the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference of applicants for higher education and young scientists ” Innovative technologies of development in the field of food production, hotel and restaurant business, economy and entrepreneurship: scientific researches of youth”, was held and dedicated to the 50th anniversary of KSUFTT foundation.
Within the framework of the conference, meetings of many sections of diverse areas of development of the food and hotel industry were held. At the sessions creative and contemporary works and achievements were presented by students of Ukraine and other countries, in particular, Dnipropetrovsk National University named after O. Gonchar, Chernivtsi Trade and Economic Institute KNTEU, Tavriya State Agrotechnological University, Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky (Kryvyi Rih), Namangan Engineering and Pedagogical Institute (Republic of Uzbekistan), Lviv State University of Life Safety, National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute named after I. Sikorsky”. The Department of food and hotel industry equipment named after M.I.Belyayev has traditionally held two sections for the presentation of scientific developments of youth – the section “Equipment of food, hotel and restaurant industry”, the head of the section – candidate of technical sciences, associate professor Dmitrevsky D., secretary of the section – student of gr. ТХ-24 Konnova Ye. And the section “Intellectual Property”, the head of the section – Ph.D., associate professor Dub V., secretary of the section – student of gr. TX-21 м Varvara P.
The section “Equipment of food, hotel and restaurant industry”
The section “Equipment of the food, hotel and restaurant industry” presented a series of scientific reports in various areas related to the separate issues of functioning and development of the food and restaurant industry, development of equipment for hotel business. So, the student of the 4th year of the Faculty of equipment and technical service of the KSUFTT Osyka M. presented the results of the development for the restaurant industry equipment titled “Electrode Steam Generator”. Student of the College of Processing and Food Industry KhNTUA named after P. Vasilenko, Postnov O. presented a report “Perspectives of the use of ultrasound milk processing”. As ranks of the level of these scientific developments were used the diplomas and degrees that were awarded to young scientists. Diplomas of the II degree were given to: student of the 3rd year from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Food Technologies and Business of the KSUFTT of gr. TH-14 Guseva O. for a report titled “Modern plates with induction heat” and student from Dnipropetrovsk National University named after O. Gonchar, Syrota A. for the report “Improvement of equipment for the production of emulsion type sauce of wakame”. Diplomas of the III degree were given to the student of the 4th year of the Faculty of Management of Trade, Entrepreneurship and Customs Activities of the KSUFTT, gr. TT-23, Smolensky O., who presentsd the report “Innovative technologies during customs control”, and the student of Dnipropetrovsk National University named after O. Gonchar, Varenik T., for the report “Improvement of equipment for the production of fish nests”.
In addition to the diplomas, a number of reports on problematic issues related to the functioning of the equipment of the food and hotel industry of Ukraine were heard and discussed. The speakers proposed the latest technical solutions for increasing the efficiency of the functioning of restaurant and food processing enterprises equipment. Some young researchers offered interesting ideas about energy efficiency and energy conservation during the use of equipment in the hotel industry. All speakers were marked with promotional certificates for their active participation in the conference.
The section “Intellectual Property”
In the section “Intellectual Property” the reports were devoted to the legal protection of intellectual property objects in the food and restaurant industry. Students raised innovative issues regarding the acquisition of rights on culinary products of restaurants and food industry, and discussed the effectiveness of the franchise in the restaurant industry in case of organizing fast food establishments. The issues considering the improvement of state structures operation in the field of intellectual property and the effectiveness of their interaction with the food industry were also considered. As a result of the work of the section, the diploma of the 1st degree was awarded to a student of the 4th course of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Food Technologies and Business KSUFTT, gr. ТХ-23, Shabelsk І. for the report “Appearance of food products as an object of intellectual property and a factor for attraction of consumers”, the 2nd degree diploma was awarded to a student of the 5th year of the Educational Institute of Food Technologies and Business of KSUFTT, gr. TH-22м, Yermolaenka V. for the report “Strategic management of intellectual property of enterprises”, the 3rd degree diploma was awarded to a student of the 5th year of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Food Technologies and Business KSUFTT, gr. TMM-22м, Pavlenko I. for the report “Features of legal protection acquiring for new developments in the field of food technology”. Other speakers for their interesting and meaningful reports were marked with the certificates of the participant of the conference. Under the work results of both sections and the conference in general, a collection of abstracts was published.
